Before you open the door
- Open your ride in the Cohotrip app.Your booking shows your driver's name and photo, and their vehicle's photos, year, make, model and license plate.
- Match the face.The person driving should be the person in the app photo.
- Match the car and the plate.Same make, model and color, and the license plate must match exactly.
- Ask who they're picking up.Don't say your name first. Your driver should be able to tell you.
- Look for the Cohotrip sign.Cohotrip drivers display a teal Cohotrip emblem on the windshield or rear window while they're driving.
Something doesn't match?
- Don't get in. Step away from the car and stay in a public, well-lit place.
- Cancel the ride in the app.
- If you feel unsafe or are in danger, call 911.
- Tell us what happened at support@cohotrip.com so we can act on the account.
Why this matters
Every Cohotrip driver is background-checked and their vehicle is on file before they can drive. Checking takes seconds and makes sure the car in front of you is the one you booked.
